Ralph has been a trusted financial advisor within the industry for over 45 years. Ralph emigrated to Canada in 1974 from Barbados and began his career as a financial advisor in 1976 at Investors Syndicate, now IG Wealth Management. Ralph worked for over 44 years at IG Wealth Management building a notable wealth management practice.
In 2019, Ralph came out of his retirement to join his two sons and together they manage Weekes Wealth – a private wealth management practice at Mandeville Private Client.
Ralph has been a keynote speaker at investment, financial planning and medical industry conferences across Canada and globally. Ralph’s wealth of experience and his ability to articulate the nuances of wealth management to Canadian investors & families has distinguished him in the industry. Ralph holds his BA in Economics from McMaster University and has completed the following programs & designations: Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Investment Manager, Advanced Investment Strategies, Portfolio Management Techniques, Partners, Directors & Senior Officers, Wealth Management Essentials
Matthew began his career as a financial planner in 2009. Matthew has been around the family business since he was a child and had always been intrigued by the advisory industry. Matthew managed his own practice for nine years at a previous firm, IG Wealth Management.
In 2017, Matthew merged his wealth management practice with his brother David while at IG Wealth Management.
In 2019 after considerable due diligence, Matthew, Ralph and David unanimously decided to move their practice to Mandeville Private Client.
Matthew holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University and has completed the following programs & designations: Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Investment Manager, Advanced Investment Strategies, Portfolio Management Technique, Wealth Management Essentials.
David has been around the wealth management business his entire life. In 2011, he became a consultant at a previous investment firm and managed his own practice for seven years.
In 2017, David merged his wealth management practice with his brother Matthew while at IG Wealth Management.
In 2019, after extensive due diligence, Matthew, Ralph and David collectively decided to move their practice to Mandeville Private Client.
David holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University and has completed the following programs & designations: Chartered Investment Manager, Certified Financial Planner, Portfolio Management Techniques, Advanced Investment Strategies, Partners, Directors and Senior Officers and Wealth Management Essentials.
Sherry leads the execution and administration within the practice and provides clients and their accountants with timely administrative services. Sherry’s wealth of knowledge from complex estate settlement administration to ensuring proper house-holding of accounts makes her an invaluable asset to the practice. Previous to joining Ralph in 2016, Sherry was an executive assistant as well as a bookkeeper for many years. Sherry’s known for her ability to constantly exceed clients’ expectations.
Jow oversees the entire day to day operations of the practice and coordinates with all the team members to ensure exceptional client services. Essentially Jow keeps the office running smoothly. From handling client trades to addressing client account inquiries, Jow is a critical part of the client experience. Prior to joining the Weekes team in 2017, Jow worked in the investment advisory capacity and is a graduate of McMaster University. In addition to a Bachelor of Arts degree, Jow also successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), mutual funds license (IFIC), and insurance license (LLQP).
Sanarya coordinates all client meetings and handles the majority of communication and scheduling on behalf of the practice. Sanarya always ensures all client inquiries are addressed promptly, which demonstrates her effort to regularly exceed client financial planning and administrative expectations. Whether setting up client online account services, or administering client educational accounts, Sanarya always operates in meticulous detail. Sanarya joined the Weekes team in 2017. Prior to that, she worked in the financial services industry both in the advisory role as well as an assistant. Her experience in both roles helps create a great client experience and she is an invaluable asset to the practice.
Victoria plays an integral role to the day to day management of the practice. Whether preparing client files before meetings, or coordinating upcoming client events, Victoria’s exceptional organizational skills and hard work ethic keep the practice running very efficiently. Previous to joining the practice, Victoria was a English teacher at Glendale Secondary School in Hamilton, Ontario for 28 years. Victoria graduated from McMaster University obtaining her Bachelor of Arts.
